Woman looking at digital x-rays

X-rays

Digital x-rays are taken periodically to help detect cavities. The frequency with which we recommend them differs from patient to patient. If you’re faithful with your cleanings and checkups, you have no history of cavities, and you maintain a good hygiene routine, we’ll likely only need to x-ray once a year. However, if you are prone to tooth decay, we may recommend x-rays every six months.

Digital x-rays allow us to see all the parts of your oral structure that aren’t visible to the naked eye. Not only do they help us identify areas of decay, they also help us determine the health of your tooth roots and view the condition of your jaw structure, as well.

With digital x-rays, your experience will require less time and expose you to less radiation. That’s a win-win in our books.
